Founding Principles

There is the need for a stronger collaboration and partnership between industry and academic institutions of higher learning in Africa to address the multiple challenges confronting higher education. Including the funding of tertiary institutions, reducing the burden of student debt, and creating transferable real-world skills.

EquiSupport looks to solve for each of these challenges through the creation of unique three-way partnership which benefit businesses, higher education institutions, and most importantly students.

EquiSupport’s mission is to create employment pathways for college students leading to financial freedom, community empowerment and career success. To accomplish this, EquiSupport partners with forward thinking institutions of higher education and innovative Fortune 500 business clients to employ college students in resume-worthy, part-time customer service and back-office support positions.

Students participating in a EquiSupport program receive an hourly wage as well as tuition assistance which is paid directly to their enrolled university and EquiSupport partner. To create these student employment opportunities, EquiSupport partners with colleges and universities to fund on or near campus centers within walking distance from student classes. EquiSupport then partners with business clients to solve real-world needs within customer support, quality assurance, coding, and data entry.
